Special Railway 2-Tone
Hampden Watch Co. 18 size 21 jewel open face lever-set Special Railway pocket watch movement/dial/hands. Nicely finished railroad grade movement with gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, gold colored lettering, gold flashed screws, and a beautiful 2-tone gold and nickel damaskeen pattern. Fronted by a double-sunk enamel dial with script signature. Serial number is 2356498.
Not running. Mainspring seems likely broken or slipped, and balance wheel tilts to the side indicating a likely bad balance staff and/or balance jewel(s). Beautiful movement with excellent 2-tone color and luster. Dial faces up very well but does have some faint hairlines.
