MADE IN JAPAN SOLID VINTAGE CONDITION 11 lbs !! One of YAMAHA DRUMS best sounding snares ever made and one of the first I ever purchased 20 some odd years ago here in Japan and have lovingly used it for many a live gig/recording/jam...this brass snare will cut through even the loudest of sound!!!! The YAMAHA Brass models were first introduced in the 80's here in Japan and featured a specially designed convex metal bead around the center of the shell to provide greater structural rigidity and strength, along with the newly designed "POWER" HOOPS which helped to provide extra tonal projection! 8" x 14" RARE SIZE Seamless Brass finish shell Fitted with the factory original 10-hole YAMAHA JAPAN POWER-HOOP Rims Recently switched to electronic drums so I'm slowly (grudgingly) selling off my beloved collection piece by piece The drum shows expected signs of love/age/wear for 30+ years of use such as general spotting/oxidation on chrome/brass parts and light nicks/dings/scuffs etc. but no mentionable damage such as cracks, broken/non-functional parts or missing pieces/screws etc., the tension strainer/throw also operates flawlessly. *Note, one snare wire was clipped off years ago, not making any difference in sound* All original 100% JAPANESE brass/chrome parts Quality built TOP OF THE LINE snare from the Golden Era when SAKAE DRUMS were still making all YAMAHA drums here just outside of Tokyo Japan in the 80's PLEASE LOOK AT ALL THE VERY DETAILED PICTURES AS I HAVE SHOT FROM MANY ANGLES TO SHOW ANY WEAR & TEAR
