A nice, honest, original German helmet of World War One vintage.  No damage to the steel shell (i.e. - no cracks, no dents).  Excellent original field gray/green paint both inside and out.  Steel liner band (M1917).  All three leather liner pads are still present and in good condition, even if the interior padding of the frontal one has been lost to time.  No chinstrap.  Overall, an excellent representative example of the classic German Stahlhelm.  The interior of the neck apron is marked "B.F. 64" and the shell size number (64) is also printed in black ink.
