This gorgeous antique Japanese Banko Ware tea pot is in the shape of a small pumpkin complete with a spout in the shape of a leaf. On the sides of the teapot is an embossing of three cute monkeys that perfectly balance the vividness of the orange. The handle itself looks like a plant stem and brings together this antique item that is begging to be taken home today!

Note: According to this book- " IMARI, SATUMA AND OTHER JAPANESE EXPORT CERAMICS " (ISBN-10: 088740944X) by Nancy N. Schiffer, "Impressed Banko Mark was c.1915 up to the present" (page 200). Therefore this pot estimated to be before c. 1915 because there is no impressed Banko mark on the bottom.
