Up for sale here is this power supply board recap set for the Marantz 2238. This is NOT for the newer silver-dial 2238B, just the regular 2238. This includes all the parts you need to recap a Marantz 2238 power supply. Vintage Marantz power supplies were run pretty aggressively, and often the old parts are weak and failing. We will make them new again! This kit includes all 6 capacitors, one diode, two double diodes, and two transistors. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The capacitors are all 105° Panasonic FC/Nichicon PW caps at the same uf ratings and the same or higher voltage ratings, the diode is a 1N4005 diode, the double diodes are MUR1620CT and MUR1620CTR, and the transistors are new KSC2383YTA and TIP41C transistors, which are the correct subs for the original transistors. These are extremely high-quality parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild Marantz gear.
I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is a moderately complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron, as well as a little heat-sink compound.
