This is the wooden gate version of the standard metal gate spring loaded shoot bolts commonly used on metal gates. The bolt slides through the gate to lock and open.
The bolt is easy to install, and can be used in conjunction with gate staples, self locking catches etc. or simply drill a hole in the gate post to centrally latch.
