Both finely-modeled hollow figures wear caps; the female wears only a short skirt,
her nubile breasts exposed.
She
sits on flexed knees cradling a small child on her
 lap, one hand gently placed under the baby's head. There are traces of painted
decoration (tattoo?) under her lower lip.

The male sits upright in an authoritative position with elbows out,
hands on his knees, flexed legs
and his diminutive penis has been carefully modeled. A vent-hole at each ear insured the safe
firing of these museum-quality terracotta figures.

The female is 9.75" (24.7 cm) tall, 7.75" (19.6 cm) wide and 6.25" (15.8 cm) front-to-back;

the male measures 10.25" (26 cm) tall, 8" (20.3 cm) wide and 5.75" (14.6 cm) front-to-back.

Several toes slightly abraded in antiquity; without repair or restoration, in excellent condition.
