An original antique engraved map of NOTTINGHAMSHIRE by Van Langeren, first published in 1643 in A Direction for the English Traveller. This example map, published in 1757, includes a list of towns and villages in the county. The engraving has a matrix of distances between the principal towns of Nottinghamshire and a thumbnail map of the county. It is mounted, hand coloured and has a printed area of 110x165mm. This item, which is lightly but uniformly toned, is in very good condition.
