In tests using a K40 30/40W we have had cutting speeds of 35mm per second at 12 -15ma (tests carried out by more than 20 volunteers) or on our Odin 30W 45mm/sec at 60% power

The Birch/Basswood/Birch configuration, means good cutting qualities, structurally stronger than light weight poplar ply
In our own cutting test using a 100w Thunderlaser we can cut at 80mm/sec at 65% power, it did cut a little faster but 80mm/sec was clean drop out,

Please note that wood is a natural product and in the construction of plywood internal stresses are set up by the layers of wood which causes warp and bending, moisture content can make the bend and twist more noticeable but some bending and twisting is unavoidable. Leaving in a warm environment and storing flat with a heavy board on top will help minimise the warp, All BB/BB and B/BB have knots and plugs This is the Industry standard for grading PLywood BB/BB Knots and plugs are allowed both sides Lowest grade for lasercutting B/BB One clear face, reverse has knots and plugs permitted, better for cutting B/B both sides clear faces, no plugs, but knots permitted BR/B One clear face no knots or plugs, revers side small knots permittted no plugs BR/BR Both sides No large knots, no plugs, AA is like BR but interior core has no internal knots either .if you are experiencing difficulties please contact us for advise on keeping boards flat when cutting. DHL next working day means next working day to the day shipped, so order cut off times may mean it is not collected until the following day but DHL not not Gaurantee delivery within this period, they state it can take upto 48 hours to deliver., The Other courier Next day is a timed delivery, so it is Gauranteed to be delivered thre next working day after shipping, usually before 12 Noon

Plywood is made from 2  layers of Birch wood and mid layer of Boxwood, stresses within the board will cause the board to warp or twist, if you require perfectly flat, then do not by plywood .

PLywood is susceptible to atmospheric moisture so if there is any movement in the board , leaving in a dry warm place such as an airing cupboard will help, thickness is nominal but can vary -0.2 to +0.6mm due to manufacturing tolerances

MDF is a man made product so is consistent right through, this will warp if one face is exposed, but less likely to warp or twist than plywood
