Your new kit comes with two ON/OFF thermostats with 115ºF and 125ºF range, just install the one that fits your RV fridge installation. We do not recommend to use a thermostat below 100ºF, or the fan will run all day and drain your battery.

1.  TWO BRUSHLESS 12V DC cooling Fans 92 x 92 x 25 mm  - 3 3/8" x 3 5/8" x 1".
Exceptionally low noise, ultra quiet bearings. Less than 30 dBA (compared to 40+ dBA).

2.  Two activating Fan Thermostats 110º and 120ºF for automatic fan control - choose the one that fits your needs best! It will switch the fan ON when the back of the fridge is overheating (no manual switch needed!). We do not recommend an automatic thermostat with 90º degrees or less - the fans may run all day long! Sooner or later, you will have warm drinks and an empty battery...

What you need to know:
RV refrigerators don't use a compressor instead using heat, either from an electric heating element or an LP-gas flame. The heat starts a chemical reaction, and evaporation and condensation cause the refrigerator to cool.

The heat created by the cooling process circulates within a narrow space behind the refrigerator. Air enters through the lower access panel and moves the hot air out through the upper access panel or roof vent. That creates a dead air space directly behind the refrigerator, drastically reducing the efficiency!

The best way to increase the cooling efficiency of your fridge is to increase the airflow on the back of the fridge. You need to install a 12-Volt DC circulation fan at the back of the refrigerator and a thermostat to switch the fan ON when the heat rises.
