Belgian Duchesse Lace Circular Collar Antique Handmade 1920's
This beautifully made Belgian Duchesse lace is of aged cotton and has gorgeous patterns of leaves and floral medallions. There are some brown spots at the edges/corners, but I could not find any breaks or holes on this piece. The magnificent circular lace collar is about 5" wide and 34" long With thanks to an ebayer with more experience in lace, I am able to update the information on this piece from simply calling it Brussels lace, and mistakenly reference Rose Point.: From Sharron of rookandraven.weebly for lace identification: I thought I would offer a little help with the identification of this gorgeous lace. This collar is classic handmade Belgian Duchesse lace - a combination of Brussels bobbin lace and insertions of delicate Point de Gaze needle lace.
