VERY OLD AND RARE 19TH CENTURY LAHU HILL TRIBE BRONZE OPIUM WEIGHT. OPIUM WEIGHTS LIKE THIS WERE USED THROUGHOUT SOUTHEAST ASIA AND CHINA WHEN THE SUBSTANCE WAS WIDELY USED IN THE REGION. MOST NOTABLY OPIUM WAS PRODUCED BY THE LAHU AND LISU HILL TRIBES. I RECENTLY PROCURED THIS WEIGHT DURING A TRIP TO LAOS. RARE LAHU OPIUM WEIGHTS LIKE THIS ARE A MUST HAVE FOR ANY SERIOUS COLLECTOR.
