About the Thuraya Satellite Prepaid NOVA 30 Unit / 35 Minutes SIM Card with Airtime

Important: Thuraya does not offer global coverage so please ensure that the region you wish to use the network in is available on the coverage map which you can find in the images. 

You will be unable: to use any Thuraya equipment including handsets and/or airtime to connect to the network when outside of the Thuraya satellite footprint area.  This includes North and South America.

Activation of airtime must take place within 6 months of purchase.

Thuraya NOVA Pre-Paid SIM cards are suitable for all Thuraya satellite phone handsets and feature reduced per minute rates from select countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe.

The NOVA card will automatically switch between two different call rates depending on the geographic location of the caller. 

A premium rate is charged to territories outside of Nova countries. SIM cards are valid for 12 months and can be extended by adding pre-paid airtime vouchers. View our website for information on NOVA countries.

Calls made within the Thuraya NOVA zone are charged at 0.90 units per minute to a landline or mobile number and calls made outside the NOVA zone are charged at 1.85 units per minute. Calls made to other satellite networks are charged at up to 10 units per minute.

SIM card will be sent inactive. Please contact GTC to activate your SIM upon receipt of your order. Validity will start from the point of activation.

This SIM contains 10 units of airtime. Upon activation of your SIM a PIN will be provided to add the remaining units advertised. Calls made within the Thuraya NOVA zone are charged at 0.90 units per minute to a landline or mobile number. Calls made outside the NOVA zone are charged at 1.85 units per minute. Additional credit can be added to this SIM at any time.

Minimum billable increment = 1 minute increments, 1 minute increments thereafter.

Terms & Conditions: Thuraya NOVA SIM

• First call must be made within 12 months. 
• If a call is not made within the first 12 months from the date of activation, the SIM will enter dormancy status and a fee of $19 will be deducted from the balance every month till call is made.
• The Thuraya NOVA SIM has an initial validity of 365 days from first call.
• Annual Renewal Fee: $39.00 (39 Units deducted automatically from balance on renewal date)
• If the account balance is below 39 units at the renewal time, the account enters the 3-month grace period (Incoming calls are still possible).
• If the account is refilled within the grace period, the existing balance will be restored.
• If account is not refilled within the grace period, it will be deactivated and the number will be lost.
• Dormancy Fee: If there is no activity on your SIM card for 12 months+ (e.g. making a call), then a dormancy fee of $19.00 will be deducted from your SIM card. If you have a balance with less than $19.00, then the entire balance will be deducted.

For deliveries made to addresses within the EU, eBay will remove the VAT included in our advertised price and you will be charged the net amount. You will be liable for any import VAT before delivery takes place. Please contact us when placing your order if you would like to pay this import VAT to us so we can pay on your behalf.
