That is a wonderful stamped sterling silver trinket box inside gold plated with silver mounted porcelain miniature of a wooded landscape with Cupid and a female couple depicted. Ladies are hit by the cupid's arrow, ready to kiss each other, angel is smiling in the background. His bow is laying on the ground. It would certainly have been a thrilling gift for some lover or other in the late 1800s to earliest 1900s, when it was originally crafted. The box is simple, elegantly made, with a sterling silver mount top and bottom rims, and a very smooth fitting shell of a box that measures 2.8" = 7 cms in diameter and 2" = 5 cms high when closed. Weight 128 grams.
