# 10 CRUSADERS CROSS

# 10 This is a gorgeous traditional looking crusaders cross. Very popular as their hard to find.

Sadly, for health reasons I'll be closing my store after everything is sold. Going thru boxes and boxes of this and that have found some real treasures like these 3 crosses. Didn't realize there were any left as I bought a dozen of them back in the 80's. Stay tuned as I have lots of this and that's to sell.

It’s made of a pewter that’s zinc and lead free. Measures 1 1/2 inches wide by 2 inches high.

Have watched numerous YouTube videos, taken on line courses but just can’t get silver to look, silver!!! You’ll have to trust me it’s silver colored. The lighter one on the right I think looks better with one of the antique chains I also discovered but will put whichever you'd like on it.

It would be a nice holiday, birthday or just because gift for that special friend. Of course, don't forget to treat yourself now and then too.

They are 21 to 22 inches long but if you'd like it longer most department stores have inexpensive extenders.

 CROSS SYMBOL

The cross symbol has been used both as a religious symbol and as adornment down through recorded history.

Various artifacts dating from periods long before the Christian era, have been found through archaeological discoveries, marked with crosses of different designs in almost every part of the old world.

The use of the cross as a symbol was condemned by the Church as early as the 3rd century CE because of its Pagan origins.

The first appearance of a cross in Christian art is on a Vatican sarcophagus from the mid-5th Century.

The Christian cross is often found in many different shapes, sizes and styles.

The cross symbol can be seen in personal jewelry to the top of church buildings. It is shown either as a simple cross or with a figure of the Christ.

To Christians, the cross symbol represents sacrifice and the belief Christ died for our sins on the cross.
