Tourmaline gemstone is the official birthstone for October. Opal is also seen as October?s birthstone as well. Bi-colored and multi colored tourmaline may be green at one end of the color spectrum and pink at the other. Watermelon tourmaline stones are dichroic meaning they appear to change color when viewed from different angles.
