Stelvio Cipriani is one of the best known and loved Italian composers in the world with assets of over three hundred columns for the Cinema of every kind and internationally famous for hits such as''Anonymous''Venice''and the theme of a Western man, a horse and a gun''in the RCA single American with the cover done by Henry Mancini and his orchestra sold over a million copies.For''The Night of the Sharks''Cipriani OST has composed a mail with the typical sound Disco / Rock of the eighties by writing a rhythmic theme of action for the protagonist David, introduced in the opening credits (Tr.1) that alternate with mysterious and dark atmosphere and a recurring theme of love. At the time, although the film was a success in U.S., UK, Spain and especially in Japan, had not left any record at 45 rpm or 33 rpm with the OST, but only a suite of 5:32 saw the light on a compilation Japanese CD in 1996. For this CD we used the master in putting together the original stereo session 58:26, that everything was recorded specifically for the film (with the exception of a few pieces of footage taken from other films).
