Such incredible handcrafted examples are highly sought after and becoming exceedingly rare. This superb piece will comfortably meet the requirements of any discernible collector, possessing all the charm you would hope for from the finest antique furniture money can buy. It is also ideal for a savvy decorator looking for an incredible example of exquisite, timeless quality piece to position in the heart of their home. Its size and convenient height make it a great console or a sofa table when closed and an entertaining game table when open. While this piece is meant to function within the realities of day-to-day living, it also allows you to create a space that best amplifies your personal style and to add interest to your home. It is an incredible piece of history that will always be in style.  Considering its age and rarity, it is in good condition. Stands sturdy and secure; the quality and craftsmanship speak volumes. Significant wear as expected with age, minor repairs have been noted - minor surface loss and repair on the top, glue was used for parts of the "leaves", not noticable upfront. Please view the images provided closely to confirm its condition.  This fine set of furniture might be produced by different manufacturers -  the table appears to be older and higher quality of carving than chairs. One chair has a number on its frame and a corresponding number on the seat bottom, another chair has different inscription on the seat and fading number on its frame. The seat appears to be a black leather cover or composite material, not sure if it is original to the item, each seat has been broken off at the bottom (the frame is fine, just the backing has cracked)
