DESCRIPTIONS BELOW

mixed greens- 35-75 days. This mesclun mix grows into vibrant greens that can be harvested anywhere from baby leaf to adult stage. This seed grows well in most areas of the US and is terrific for Spring and Fall plantings. A wonderful collection of greens of differing color, texture and flavor, the mix includes: Arugula, Spinach, Swiss Chard, Endive, Kale, Mustards and Lettuces.

large red cherry tomato-75 days This heirloom cherry tomato has excellent flavor and produces handfuls of 1 inch, sweet, firm fruit. The vine will continue to grow over an extended season so you should create a supporting structure for vining growth.

tokyo white bunching green onion-65-75 days long white shanks with stiff blue green tops. Resistant to hot weather and fairly cold tolerant as well, but not recommended for over wintering. Great in soups, stir fry, and sautés!

cherry belle radish-23 days. AAS Winner. Bright cherry red, round to globe-shaped. Flesh is crystal white, crisp, and mild, with short tops. Widely used for bunching and forcing. Tasty!

scarlet nantes carrot-70 days. The Scarlet Nantes carrot seeds produce blunt cylindrical seven inch roots, great for bunching. This garden crop thrives with full sun, and does best in sandy, well-drained soil. The Scarlet Nantes carrot is sweet and tender. The roots can be harvested in around seventy days. This vegetable usually takes about 95 days until it is ready to harvest. Scarlet Nantes carrots are sweet, plump, and coreless, GREAT JUICERS!

butterhead lettuce AAS Winner. 65 days. These non-GMO Buttercrunch seeds grow into vibrant, green heads of lettuce that are ready to harvest in 60 to 70 days. The Buttercrunch lettuce can be grown in most zones, including colder zones. The leaves of the Buttercrunch have a mildly sweet, buttery flavor.

yolo wonder bell pepper-75 days. Sweet Pepper Seeds. Highly recommended. Large, 4 1/2 by 4 inch, three to four-lobed, glossy peppers on large, sturdy plants. Matures from green to deep red, yumm! Good foliage cover. An improved California Wonder. Resistant to Tobacco Mosaic Virus.

Back in 2010 I bought my first assortment of heirloom seeds, off ebay actually, from Blue Ribbon Tomatoes. Unfortunately, they are no longer selling heirloom tomato seed, boo! Anyway, I bought 100 or so varieties and have been growing them out ever since. I am so lucky to have a chance to do what I love! I hope you will also find peace, satisfaction, relaxation, and all else I feel when I am working with my plants, seeds, canning, etc. Thank you so much for bringing me such an awesome opportunity.

a quick note on seed storage... I feel through my experience the best way to store your seed is in the refrigerator. Some vegetable varieties produce seed that remains viable for many years (tomatoes) and others produce seed that does not store well under any conditions (onions). I believe seed stored under refrigerated conditions could last 10 years or more. I have just planted some ACE 55 seeds from 2000 in summer 2017. They did great! Germination rates were in the 90% range and these seeds had been sitting in a box in my garage for the past 17 years! I have some of that seed available now listed as Marlboro Ace 55. GET SOME!

WHAT IS AN HEIRLOOM? Heirloom plants are grown from seeds that have been handed down thru generations, saved from year to year, some varieties dating back hundreds of years. Many made the migration from Europe and the East with the immigrants coming to the USA. The seeds are never cross pollinated and so they remain true to their particular characteristics. Heirloom tomatoes come in all colors, shapes, and sizes ? Reds, Pinks, Yellows, Orange, White, Green, Striped, and Black. Ranging in sizes of cherry and grape to large grapefruit size, meaty, or juicy.

WHY HEIRLOOM? These tomatoes and other vegetable varieties are more natural, they are non GMO (genetically modified). They do not have as long of a shelf life as store bought tomatoes/vegetables, but that is what makes them special. They have a real fantastic tomato flavor not found in grocery store offerings. These tomatoes/vegetables are indeterminate (they grow all season, they flower all season and they produce tomatoes all season. They don?t stop until frost. Once heirloom tomatoes and vegetables are picked, they do not have a long shelf life as hybrids but they more than make up for any shortcomings in flavor. This is true for all heirloom vegetables.
