This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Coalport in the 1880s.  It was made especially for Tiffany of New York.  The saucer has a diameter of 5 ½ inches.  The cup is 2 inches high with a diameter of 3 ½ inches.  The fine white bone china is decorated with intricate raised gilding.  There are bands of heavy embossed gilding on both pieces.  The rims and handle are gilded.  This is classic elegance of the highest quality you would expect from Tiffany.
