Original Conical Hubs Circa 1971/73

These grilles/meshes are pressed out of high quality Stainless steel material.

They have been formed on a quality tool, designed and made by my

  mate, Ralph from Luton, one of my best customers!!

They are pressed out to suit a finished diameter  hole of circa 43.4mm

The original hole was made with a tank hole cutter to a size of 41mm

(1&5/8" inches) and then polished out to suit the finished hole size.

The finished grilles are quite springy, so some leeway on the finished

hole size is not a problem.

The finished items have a slightly raised and domed centre, but this can be pressed flush, and flatter, if required, when fitting.

They will require some hand finishing and fitting before final installation.

They follow the hub curvature, see pictures.

The items shown are newly prepared and fabricated items, your meshes will normally have a superior cut-out and tidier finish.

Meshes are made to order, so there will be a delay of up to 20 days on delivery

I have supplied  these "MANX" style grilles for some 25 years.

I have seen these grilles, often copied, but not I believe, bettered.

The customer who first suggested, and ordered them from me,

is a multi award winning, "Classic Bike"  British specials bike

builder. Bikes built include "Tritons" & "Norvins"

The Complete pair of wheels shown in the last pictures is the third pair

of these "MANX" style wheels using these grilles/meshes that

he has ordered from me.
