This is the nicest reproduction of a 1920's-era Kara "pitch" book that you're likely to find. We mean it! The cover is printed on mint-colored 80-lb. cambric stock. Inside pages are 28-lb. premium offset stock.
Kara, perhaps the finest mentalist to ever grace the stages of the American west, originally sold this book after his theater performances for $1 (a princely sum back then). In return, the buyer was entitled to ask Kara a personal question. To keep the buyer from handing off the book to a friend or family member and getting another free question answered, a corner of the book was cut off. If you're ever lucky enough to fund a copy of a vintage original, expect to pay upwards of $100 for the privilege. And expect a corner to be missing.
Here, then is an amazingly accurate reproduction, down to the use of "up-sell" horoscope offers with Kara's mailing address. Don't bother purchasing anything from this horoscope book, as the offers are a hundred years old by now. But … it has all four corners!
