Monza was a Belgian rock group. Until the summer of 2007 they consisted of Stijn Meuris (vocals), Dirk Loots (drums), Bart Delacourt (bass), Luc Weytjens (keys) and Jan van Sichem jr. (Guitar).  Since the summer of 2007, the composition of Monza has changed: since then Kris Delacourt (keys, soundscapes and extra guitars) and Bruno Fevery (guitar) have played along. The band is the successor of Noordkaap for Stijn Meuris. The group has its own recording studio, De Monzaal. This is a converted dance hall in Ekeren. In that space, the band spent a year working on the album Grand , which was released via EMI Music in 2005. Some of the songs reflect the suicide of Meuris' girlfriend, several years earlier. In 2005 the band made the theme song for the celebrations of 175 years of Belgium. That was a bilingual version of the North Cape hit I Love You, and was recorded together with Zap Mama singer Marie Daulne. The title became I Love You / Je t'aime tu sais. In March 2008 the album Attica! (EMI Music), recorded under the production direction of bassist Bart Delacourt. Since December 2009, Stijn Meuris continues solo as MEURIS.
