Rare  Antique 1930-1940's Wool Pile, Natural Dye Prayer Rug from Konya-Karaman in Turkey. It measures 4'3''x6'10''.

             This genuine prayer rug is of hand-spun wool pile,symmetrically hand-knotted on the tribal loom by a nomad weaver over 5 ,or 7 months labor by using entirely natural dyes that she may have picked up in Karaman Valley for coloring its yarn.

             Lengthy weaving time, love and passion were poured out into weaving of this unique prayer rug,which today we never get to see people making or having it. It is the only one of its kind.
