DESCRIPTION

Marianne Faithfull - “Marianne Faithfull” Armando Curcio Editore Records SU-1029 (Stereo) from 1982. Great Italian Import Greatest Hits Compilation Classic Pop / Rock album from Marianne Faithfull who, despite her long career, is perhaps still best known for her 1966 to 1970 romantic relationship with The Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger. This Italian Import album has the same songs as the 1969 London Records “Marianne Faithfull’s Greatest Hits” LP in a slightly different sequence. Part of the “SuperStar” Series, the album is in an Inward Opening Gatefold Cover with a Full Color Bound-In 12 Page Booklet with Photos, History and a Discography (through 1981). Unlike most copies of the great album, NO Cutouts!

CONDITION

In great condition. The Gatefold Cover shows a slight bit of corner softening. There is a very slight little bit of shelf wear. Super solid with no splits, tears, stains, writing, creases, cut-outs, etc. and should still rate Near Mint overall. The vinyl is in Pristine, Glossy conditon looking to be quite likely unplayed. If you really look closely you can spot a couple slight sleeve scuffs very close to New condition and still easily Near Mint. The Booklet and Labels are also Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

Records are graded to the best of my ability to Goldmine Visual standards. I provide Play Grades as a courtesy but only guarantee the Visual Grade. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words:

Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.

Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.

I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
