And if you're a cable TV subscriber, you can use the 'VR660's "QAM" tuner to watch and record unscrambled digital cable programs without the need for a separate set-top box.

The D-VR660 also makes it easy to back up your home movies. Its dual-deck design gives you the option of dubbing non-copy-protected material from VHS to DVD, or from DVD to VHS. Front-panel analog and digital inputs simplify recording from another device, such as a camcorder. Plus, if you have an HDMI-equipped HDTV, the 'VR660 can upconvert DVDs to better match your set's high-resolution screen, so all your discs will look their best.
