Scarce and visually pleasing original issue of this once weekly German periodical. Lovely turn of the century Art Nouveau (Jugenstil) illustrations throughout, in both color and b&w.
Paper is uniformly well age toned and quite brittle as often seen due to the newsprint paper used - issue must be handled with care. There is some separation along the spine, some pages are loose or separated due to the old organic spine glue having now age dried and crumbled, could be small chipping along edges.
Markedly progressive early 20th century magazine in both ideals and graphics. The modern approach and sensibility is found throughout the issues,with wonderful Jugendstil artwork on almost every page, including the advertisements. The cover art is often worthy of framing.
Issue measures c. 8 7/8" W x 11 1/2" H.
