MURDER ON HIGH

A Murder Mystery Party Game for 6-8 players

It's 1942 in German occupied France.  These are dangerous times, being seen doing the wrong thing could easily get you shot.  Who can you trust?  Maestro chocolate maker Ernest Chanterelle lives and works at a cliff top chateau outside Biarritz.  It seems everyone wants his chocolate making secrets, including the Germans and the British.  When he is killed in a car accident, it's soon established this is a case of murder.  Who has seen fit to terminate the master chocolate maker?  The mystery must be solved before the Gestapo arrive to investigate for themselves...

This is an original murder mystery game supplied as ready to print Microsoft Word pdf files on a USB flash drive or CD.  The engaging plot keeps players guessing 'whodunnit' right until the very end.  Running time is 1½ - 2 hours.

The supplied files print:

Character script booklets for your guests, invitations, complete party set up instructions, name tags, a magazine front page, various evidence, a choice of murder confessions, and lots of extras to turn your venue into the Hauteur Sauvage chateau crime scene.

You will need access to a printer, 65+ sheets of printer paper, a stapler and maybe some sticky stuff (Pritt Stick?)  The printed game functions much the same as a boxed murder mystery.

The 8 characters:

Maria Chanterelle (F)
:

You are the natural heir to Chanterelle Chocolats, up to now a thriving chocolate making business run by your father.  Since the occupation, life hasn't been easy...

Fifi Fauxpas (F):

You used to work on a farm in Normandy, but then came the war.  Now, you are trying to eke out a living as a housekeeper.  Which is quite a change for you...

Cecille de Savetiers (F):

You are a Comtesse, a member of the nobility, which makes it all the harder to accept the capitulation of your country to Hitler and his armed hordes.  Something must be done...

Sandrine Silhouette (F):

You are a Swiss ornithologist, an expert on birds, currently researching a book on European bird migration.  You have little interest in the current political problems.  Your country is neutral in this war, why should it concern you?

Cam Ombere (M):

A student of the Paris Sorbonne, your entire conscious existence is devoted to demonstrating your argumentative opposition to anything and everything.  It is your existential choice and supreme right.

Emile Enroute (M):

You are a car mechanic, and fircely patriotic Frenchman, appalled at the mess your country is in.  All must stand shoulder to shoulder to eject the oppressors.  Vive la Liberation!

Justin Seine (M):

You are a downed British airman, on the run, trying to evade capture and make your way to the safety of neutral Spain.  So far, with your passable French, you have managed to stay free and are holed up at Hauteur Sauvage...

Jon Darme (M):

You are a fine upstanding officer of the law, a Capitaine in the Vichy Surete Nationale.  With things as they are (sigh) you must try and serve the requirements of your beleaguered country, and yet avoid actions that might create problems for you in the years ahead.  Not easy...
