The pendant for this necklace is a pill box measuring: 5.3 x 4.8 x x 3.7 cm. (2 1/8" x 1 3/4" x 1 1/2') made from cruelty free, elk antler.

Deer and elk shed, or drop their antlers every Spring and grow a new pair for the year, so, this came from a still-living animal.

I finished the lid, and inlaid a 40 x 30 mm. red abalone shell cabochon (dyed) on the top.
The swivel lid closes tightly to keep your treasures safe.

Its inner chamber’s dimensions are approximately: 3.3 x 3.7 x 2.3 cm. (1 1/4" x 1 1/4" x 7/8").
Because the antler’s core is grainy, I lined the inside with a non-toxic, acrylic, furniture finish.

For the neckpiece, I did macrame using red, blue, black and natural color hemp twine;  with cruelty free, elk antler tips, large, coral nuggets;  smooth and faceted, lapis lazuli rounds;  dyed howlite rounds;  brass rondelles and donuts;  and pressed glass rondelles and small crow beads;  all strung on sturdy,7-strand beading wire.

The length is adjustable;  starting at 66 cm. (26”), up to 100.5 cm. (39 1/2”).
Just slip it over your head, and slide the lock knot to desired length.

If you would like it shorter, you can specify the length desired at time of purchase (no less than 60 cm. or 24" so it will still fit over your head), and I can easily shorten it.

The necklace also comes with its own storage pouch for safekeeping.
