Up for sale here is this power supply board rebuild set for a Yamaha CA-800. This is for the CA-800 only--I don't think it will work for the CA-800 II, the CA-810, or other similar models. This is for the power supply board on the underside. This is all the parts you need to rebuild this board completely. Often the old parts are weak and failing. We will make them new again!
This kit includes the following:
10 capacitors (Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Nichicon Muse, Wima film)
9 transistors (Fairchild/Onsemi)
2 dual diodes (Fairchild/Onsemi)
5 resistors to replace the fuse resistors (1% precision metal film)
1 relay (Omron)
These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The capacitors are at the same capacitance (uf) ratings and at mostly higher voltage ratings than the originals, and the transistors are the correct Fairchild/OnSemi subs for the original transistors. These are not cheap Made in China parts, they are extremely high-quality and they are what I use when I rebuild vintage gear. This does not include replacements for the original diodes, which should be fine and generally don't need replacing.
I will include a surprisingly well-written instruction sheet, but this is a fairly complicated job, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron. You will also need heat-sink compound for the heat-sinked transistors. This kit may not fix your CA-800 if it has other issues, but it will definitely help it run better, and should fix almost any issues with this board. If your receiver is blowing fuses, you will probably need new output transistors (available here) and probably new fuses as well. Please see my pictures for details.
