"I have been writing music since the age of fourteen. It began with piano solos but quickly developed into my own original style of blending all the instruments that I love such as ancient wind instruments, tin whistles, recorders, harps, guitars, baroque guitars, medieval lutes and strings, epic film strings, full choirs, Gregorian voice,s beautiful choirs, the voices of the Elves and so many more! I am inspired by film scores such as 'Lord of the Rings' and 'Braveheart'. I also love England, its' landscapes, hills, ruined castles, history, lighthouses, sea towns, harbours, forests. When I write, I picture all that is ancient England and take this visual imagery and try to tell its' story through music. Each original piece tells its own story and although historical in inspiration, my style and sound is contemporary and new" - Bernadette Bevans

This audio CD is part of a series of instrumental music albums created because of the demand for the film scores from Mary's Dowry Productions to become available. All of the films from Mary's Dowry Productions are scored musically to and a lot of people have enjoyed the original music and atmosphere of the films and have asked for the music from these films on audio CD. With over eighty films created the past decade this series should continue to grow as more of the soundtracks are made available on audio CD. The music in this series is similar to the Holy Spirit music series in that it is mostly reflective, moving, atmospheric, uplifting and calm; the difference is that the entire CD album is taken from the music from a particular film so the tracks are longer in places and follow the growing theme of the film it was written to as opposed to individual tracks that have been written especially for audio CD. The genre, style and instrumentation used is the same. This album brings the entire soundtrack from 'Saint Margaret Ward' film to audio CD and is one of my favourites, drawing upon many of my favourite Elizabethan instruments and reflecting the great Catholic spirituality and solidarity of the recusants of the time.
