After the mountain bike flagship XTR has already set benchmarks and Deore XT and SLX have followed suit, the Deore now rounds off Shimano's 10-speed lineup. 

Regarding the price, the current Shimano Deore groups are positioned in the entry-level range, but are not prepared to compromise in terms of performance, quality and reliability. Almost everything that the high end groups XTR, XT and SLX have to offer in terms of technology, innovation, performance and range of functions, you will find in the Deore components, too.

The Shimano Deore FC-M5100-1 crank is designed for 1x11- as well as for 1x10-speed drivetrains and features a 2-piece construction keeping the weight low. A 4-arm chainring with 96 mm B.C.D. ensures an efficient transmission of pedal force.

The low profile design avoids damage from rocks whiles Shimano's chain stabilizing technology reduces chain drop, achieving a quiet drivetrain in all gear positions at the same time. 

    The Top Normal rear derailleur is suitable for 1x10-speed (max. 11-46 teeth) as well as 2x11- and 2x10-speed (max. 11-42 teeth) drivetrains. The guide and tension pulley of the long SGS cage feature 11 teeth each.
