The Wolverine Cub is an economical, residential, low flow activated carbon septic vent filter. This filter is intended for use in residential applications. This might be on home roof vents and/or yard vents. The housing is made of sturdy schedule 30 pvc. It installs in minutes with nothing more than a 10mm wrench.

When the filter arrives, it comes complete with the carbon in a separate bag with the top off the filter. You simply pour the carbon in the top, place the rain cap with perforated disc on the top of the filter, line up the bolts with the holes in the filter body and screw them in with a 10mm wrench. The carbon can easily be changed by reversing that procedure. You will find this filter will vary in lifespan based upon your situation. That said, most homeowners will find that they get 2-3 years out of the filter before having to replace the carbon.

It is easy to set up and install the Cub on your roof vent. First, measure the outside diameter of your vent pipe and then round down to the nearest whole number. For example your vent pipe might measure 4-7/16”, this means you need a 4" filter. Remember, you will need one filter for each vent pipe that you have.

The most important feature of this product is the carbon you put inside. You can buy the most expensive activated carbon septic filter on the market, but it is only as good as the carbon that comes with it. The Cub contains 1 lb of Norit Darco H2S Sulfursorb Plus, a carbon designed to adsorb hydrogen sulfide and work optimally in a high humidity environment. This is the exact same carbon used for our industrial and municipal customers across the globe.
