This is a set of 6 coin silver dessert spoons by Jacob Bear of Lexington, Virginia. They are 7 ½” long and weigh in total 5.45 troy ounces.
Several of the bowls have significant damage, one really bad, please study the photos. They have tip wear, and quite a few nicks/scratches/dings. The edges of some of the bowls are bent, quite wavy. It looks like the drop of at least one was repaired, it looks like there were two little tears on either side that were patched. The end of one spoon has some very significant nicks. It is obvious the silversmith made the bowls too thin. This could have been because of lack of knowledge, the rarity of dessert spoons, or because the purchaser just supplied too little silver. We have other Southern dessert spoons listed, that are still usable. These are rare marks, I could find no others on the market. Four of these spoons have very clear marks, better than the one shown in Hollan.

Jacob Bear worked in Lexington Virginia and perhaps Rockingham, 1823-pre civil war.
This JB marked is attributed to him in Hollant Virginia Silversmiths.
We have 5 teaspoons from the same set listed.
