The Miller Skyline 90 HD 1 Stage Alloy Fluid Head with Mid-Level Spreader and Rubber Feet is a heavy-duty Mitchell flat base system with a mid-level spreader for working on flat or uneven terrain. The included Skyline 90 fluid head supports up to 165 lb payloads and offers continuous counterbalance at 12" above the tilt axis and 15+0 steps of pan and tilt drag. The pan, and tilt can be set to zero, useful for whip pans and whip tilts. Likewise the counterbalance can be set to zero when desirable. The HD 1-stage aluminum tripod legs feature two leg sections and are adjustable between 24.6 and 51.6" tall. Rounding out the system are the mid-level spreader for the tripod legs and 3 x rubber feet that cover the tripod leg's foot spikes when working on hard or delicate surfaces, two pan handles and a wedge plate assembly for the Skyline 90 head, as well as a Mitchell thread and Castle nut assembly for securing your head to the tripod legs.
The Miller Skyline 90 Fluid Head is designed to support large cine cameras and rigs weighing up to 165 pounds. While most camera rigs don't weigh that much, even smaller camera rigs can take advantage of the smooth and accurate mechanics offered by the Skyline 90. Pan, tilt, and counterbalance all have zero settings, and the counterbalance can be continuously adjusted from 0-100% for fine-tuning the head's feedback. Pan and tilt drag settings each have 15 recallable click settings. Camera mounting is done by the sliding plate. Once secured to the base of your camera or rig, slide it along the Skyline 90's 11.8" of platform space. Dual telescoping pan handles are included.
The Miller Wedge Plate Assembly for Skyline 90 Fluid Head uses a standard wedge plate design that enables it to work with the Skyline 90, as well as heavy-duty fluid heads from other manufacturers that utilize the standard wedge plate design. The plate incorporates additional through-holes and a slot for flexibility in camera mounting.
The Miller Telescopic Pan Handle with Rosette Clamp for Skyline 90 Fluid Head attaches to the rosette on your Skyline 90 fluid head. This allows you to adjust the position throughout 360° of articulation, allowing you to set the handle to match the needs of the shot. It can extend up to 7.5" from 20.4 to 27.9" in length. A textured covering on the handle provides comfort and a secure grip.
The Miller Mitchell Center Screw and Castle Nut Assembly for Skyline 90 enables you to mount your head onto a Mitchell base. The Center Screw attaches to your head with the six included M5 screws. This creates a secure connection for the threaded shaft to pass through the center of the Mitchell fitting. The included Castle Nut threads onto the threaded shaft to hold your fluid head securely to the Mitchell mount.
Designed for the Skyline 90 fluid head, the Miller HD Tripod is built to withstand heavy loads up to 309 pounds. The single stage design features robust rotating clamp locks, and a durable chrome finish. For working on studio floors or uneven surfaces, respective ground and off-ground spreaders are available separately.
The Miller Off-Ground Spreader for HD Tripod is a heavy-duty mid-level spreader that can be used with the 3350 HD Tripod on even or uneven surfaces. It features spring-loaded attachment points that make attaching and detaching the spreader from your legs simple. Each arm of the spreader is individually adjustable in length. A locking knob on the center hub allows the spreader to fold when loosened, or it can be tightened to keep the spreader rigid.
The three 3366 Heavy Duty Feet for Heavy Duty Tripod from Miller are made of molded plastic with a rubber pad and attach via a stud that has both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads.
