A Rare Edwardian Hallmarked Sterling Silver Arts and Craft Planished 4 piece Tea Set by Charles Edwards The Teapot is 9 3/8" handle to spout with a diameter to the body of 5 5/8" and 4 7/8" in height with a weight of 16.1 oz or 456 grams The Coffee Pot is 6" handle to spout with a diameter to the body of 4 1/4" and 7 3/8" in height with a weight of 13.1 oz or 372 grams The Sugar Bowl is 2" in height with a diameter of 3 7/8" to the upper rim with the handles adding 1 1/8" and a weight of 7.5 oz or 212 grams The Cream Jug is 2 3/8" in height and 3 7/8" handle to spout with a diameter of 2 1/4" to the upper rim with a weight of 3.5 oz or 100 grams The Total weight of the entire set being a substantial 40.2 oz or 1,140 grams The whole set just says Arts and Craft and Quality to you with every piece sitting on 3 plain pad feet with a excellent planished finish to the full set with a bulbous shape to the bodies with stunning tulip mounted handles to each piece with the teapot and coffee pot having excellent flowing spouts with hinged domed lids and turned finials The Tea and coffee Pot are both hallmarked for 1904 with the sugar bowl hallmarked for 1913 and the cream jug for 1946 with all the same maker Charles Edwards so I assume that the sugar bowl was added after the original purchase of the Tea and Coffee Pot with the Cream Jug a replacement (maybe damaged in the war and replaced after) but as can be seen in the photos all made to be together The Set is free of any initials or monograms The Set is in Excellent Condition both inside and out
