Description

With white enamel portraits of ladies within scroll bordered frame, te pieces are by John Northwood.

Extra Notes

These are in the same style as those of Mary Gregory who did similar decoration on Cranberry and the

colored glass, Thomas Webb, however, is in the top bracket for these wares and the artist concerned is

very good.

England—died 1902), English glassmaker, a technical

innovator who sparked a resurgence of British interest,

There are no cracks or repairs there is A

few glass scratches, some very minor paint loss.

They Display Beautifully, I would say RARE.

THESE CAME FROM AN ESTATE IN N.Y. Long Island,

After talking to the great grandson the neighbor told

him, that his great grandmother told her friend A neighbor

these were very early John Northwood. Look at Vase on

RIGHT bottom 1/4" from top can you see SIGNATURE

THEY ARE BY JOHN NORTHWOOD.

I Think this was made C.1845 to 1877 BY JOHN NORTHWOOD

While working for T. Webb AS CAMEO SIGNED ON BOTTOM now

look under the RICHARDSONS GLASS.
