Up for sale here is this complete rebuild kit for a Marantz 1070 amplifier. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild the Marantz 1070 power supply board, amplifier board, phono EQ board, and preamp board, as well as upgraded replacement main capacitors. This does not include a new relay, fuse, the "silver can" amp board transistors, or output transistors. The correct replacements for the original output transistors are MJ21195G and MJ21196G, which I have available here. Please do not buy any of the Chinese output transistors listed on eBay--these are counterfeit and will damage your amp.

The US version of the Marantz 1070 uses a small milky-white Omron LC2 relay, which is smaller than the usual Marantz relay and has an odd pin arrangement. If yours is still good, you can leave it or carefully clean it, but if you need to replace it you can use a standard 24v Omron relay, install it under the chassis near the main caps, glue it in, and run wires from it to the board. The instructions will explain how to do that. I have that relay available here if you want one.

This kit includes the following:

Power Supply Board:
4 capacitors
2 diodes
2 transistors

Amplifier Board:
10 capacitors
10 transistors (4 are HFE-matched pairs)
4 trimmers
4 diodes

Phono EQ Board:
7 capacitors
6 transistors

Preamp Board:
11 capacitors
8 transistors

2 new main capacitors (same diameter as the old caps so they will fit the mount, upgraded uf rating)
Instructions

The kit for each board is bagged individually to make things easier.

These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild Marantz equipment. The main capacitors are Cornell-Dubilier 15000 uf 50v caps, the other capacitors are 105° Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, and Wima film caps at the same uf ratings and the same or higher voltage ratings, and the transistors and diodes are the correct Fairchild/Onsemi subs for the original transistors.

I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but rebuilding an amplifier is moderately complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with a 60W or 100W incandescent bulb. Please see my pictures for details.

US shipping and handling is $10, and international is $28. If you have any questions, please ask.
