Astrantia Major Rose Symphony Seeds - Splendid Strain


 This compact evergreen sub shrub produces dense aromatic gray - green foliage, as well as spikes of dark purple flowers throughout the summer. Ideal in a container, as a low hedge in the herb garden or as low specimen in a bed.
Lavender will flourish in most well drained garden soils, being especially suited to chalky soils. Plant in full sun in sheltered areas - preferably south facing. Trim flower shoots after flowering, prune last years growth to shape in spring
Sun loving drought tolerant plant; Scented blossom; Attracts wildlife to feed or nest; All round tough plant suitable for problem areas; Evergreen foliage for all year round colour and screening; Suitable for container growing;
Sowing: Winter to late spring (Nov –April) or Late summer/autumn (Aug-Oct)Can be sown at anytime of year but prefers the ground temperature to be 13 to 18*C (55 to 65*F).
Sow seed on the surface of a well drained, seed compost in pots or trays. Cover seed with a light sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Keep at a temperature of between 15-20C (59-68F)
