This is a beautiful and rare vintage Glazed Pewabic Iridescent Rope Bowl in Excellent condition.  4" Tall 7-3/4" diameter at Top.  Signed "Eleanor" and we believe that the artist was a lady by the name of Eleanor Hummer.  The Pewabic Pottery Institute was on Jefferson Avenue in Detroit, and these glazes are extinct now.  The iridescence of the glaze is what makes this coiled rope design so rare.  The story handed down by the family was that it was made as a gift for Eleanor Roosevelt but was never presented.
