DVI-D Digital to DVI-D Digital Dual Link Male/Male Cable, Gold Plated - 50 Feet You know that cable you use to connect your computer to your flat screen monitor? The one that your equipment never used to have, but you now see everywhere? The one whose name you don’t even know? It’s called a DVI (digital visual interface) cable, and unless you’re still using that desktop and boat-anchor monitor you bought ten years ago, these days you can’t survive without it. It’s crucial for displaying high-definition video on your flat panel computer monitor (either coming from your computer or from your HDTV), since it can handle digital streams in resolutions as high as 1920 x 1200 - and a dual link DVI cable, which has a second data link, can support even higher resolutions like 2560 x 1600. By comparison, the analog VGA connector you used to connect to your old, huge CRT monitor could only handle old-fashioned 640x480 resolutions, and often delivered a fuzzy picture because the signal was subject to signal loss and corruption. In effect, DVI is the “computer equivalent” of the HDMI cable you use on your new high-def TV, although the standard is also used on many televisions and projectors as well as computers. OK, the electronics lesson is over. You now know what the DVI jacks are for, so you obviously know that you need a cable to connect between them. And our Cmple DVI-D dual link cable is the right one for the job. We’ve explained why a dual link DVI cable is preferable to the cheaper one which may have come with your computer or monitor; here’s why the Cmple choice is best. We craft this six-foot digital cable in full compliance with the very latest DVI standards defined by the Digital Display Working Group (DDWG). The construction is impeccable, with triple shielding and ferrite cores to prevent any interference to signal integrity and gold-plated connectors to eliminate noise at the connection level. The cable is designed to support modern 1080p video at a resolution of 2560 x 1600, with maximum throughput of a whopping 9.9 Gbps. And it is UL certified, HDCP compliant so it can handle modern copy encryption, and RoHS compliant (meaning it doesn’t contain any hazardous substances like lead, cadmium or PBBs). There’s no better way to connect your DVI-equipped monitor to your computer or HDTV. This cable is available in several length as well. 3 feet, 6 feet, 10 feet, 15 feet, 25 feet, 50 feet, 75 feet The important specs of the Cmple 50-foot DVI-D Digital Dual Link Male/Male Cable: Connector type: DVI-D male to DVI-D male Signal type: Digital Connector finish: Gold Length: 50 feet Pin configuration: 24 + 1 Conductor plating: None Shielding level: Triple Shielding type: EMI Ferrite cores: Yes 1080p support: Yes Bandwidth: Dual link Maximum resolution: 2560 x 1600 Minimum clock frequency: 21.76 Mhz Maximum clock frequency: 165 Mhz x 2 Maximum thoroughput: 9.9 Gbps Pixels per cycle: 2 Bits per pixel: 24 DDWG compliant: Yes HDCP compliant: Yes RoHS compliant: Yes UL certified: Yes It’s terrific that advances in technology now allow us to watch high-quality, high-def streaming video on our home computers - as long as we have the proper equipment and the proper cable to hook it all up.
