1955 Dave Bancroft Single Signed 1926 National League Jubilee Baseball. The ball itself is quite a collectible little commodity, part of a packet that was issued to VIP's at a jubilee banquet celebrating the Golden Anniversary of the National League in 1926, an Official National League (Heydler) ball affixed with images of all the Senior Circuit presidents to that time. Nearly three decades later, "Beauty" Bancroft turned this rare relic into a target for single signed baseball collectors, inscribing one panel "To T.S. Johnston With best wishes, Dave Bancroft 1955," and the other empty one "Presidents of National League for first Fifty Years." Bancroft's writing survives with thundering 9+/10 boldness, and the ball itself likewise transverses the passing decades largely unscathed.
