This Buy It Now listing is for an easy application syringe with replaceable end cap, containing approximately 2ml of 60,000 cSt (60k) LOW VISCOSITY 100% pure silicone oil. known to be equal in specification to that of : "SME 2013 (LV)" This is the correct specification & max quantity for use in the lateral damping system of SME arms where the "LOW VISCOSITY" fluid is called for in the user manual or where lesser damping of the arm is preferred by the listener. The lower viscosity fluid is recommended by the SME tonearm manuals: .."if a cartridge having compliance above 30 cu.s. is used" (cartridge manufactures normally state the relevant compliance figure for each cartridge in sales info or packaging)
...note: This 60,000 cSt fluid is still many times thicker than, for example; honey, which has a kinematic viscosity of around 3500 cSt. SME call their 2013(LV) fluid "low viscosity fluid" as they are comparing it to the standard fluid they recommend in their earlier arm damping units, (3009 / 3012 & series III) which they specify at 200,000 cSt
For those perhaps unsure, this product is for SME or other tonearms which have a damping trough, containing damping fluid, through which runs a "paddle" normally attached below the tonearm. The paddle moves through the fluid in the trough as the arm makes its way toward the centre of the record whilst playing -The silicone fluid effectively acting as a shock absorber for the arms sideways motion. Many owners of SME decks report best results when the paddle's blade is approximately 50% submerged into the fluid.
You will need to be able to thoroughly clean away all remnants of old / dried fluid before applying this fresh product. Having repaired, serviced & sold many record decks over the years, I am happy to offer this item for sale.
