PCB Only
Here we have a useful little device for Amstrad CPC464 owners.
This handy joystick splitter is great when playing two-player, two-joystick games like Gauntlet.
It contains 14 diodes that prevent the two joysticks from interfering with each other electrically.
(10 diodes can be seen in the photo, the other 4 diodes are underneath the board).
This is the best design of it's type, with three fire-button support.
It's entirely PCB based so is very robust and should last for years.
The PCB is 1.6mm, dual-layer FR4 fire-resistant.
The two joystick ports are offset for easy access to the audio-out jack.
May work with other Amstrad models although we cannot guarantee it.
To finish this board you will need:
14x 1206-style surface mount signal diodes.
1x 9 pin female solder-bucket style PCB mount d-sub connectors.
2x 9 pin male solder-bucket style PCB mount d-sub connectors.
