     This is a Garnet in the yellow-to-orange color. This golden Spessartite Garnet has an excellent cut and clarity.  Garnets are one of the few gemstones that do not respond or take enhancements: so garnets are unaltered from their natural state--just cut and polished. Garnet has many varieties and multiple colors, this is an example of a golden garnet and Garnet is January's Birthstone.  This stone has a deep yellow, highly saturated, even color and is transparent.  This garnet is still sealed in its original box.  The photos were taken from various angles under full spectrum fluorescent light.
