Arleigh Burke Fleet Trophy WWII US Navy Ship USS Vulcan Bronze Plaque Battle E Efficiency. Measures 13 3/4 X 23 3/4” and made of solid bronze. This award is presented annually to the ship or aviation squadron in the Pacific and Atlantic that has achieved the greatest improvement during the previous year based on the Battle Efficiency Competition. It is missing the presentation plaque that would have been attached to the lower part of it but it is marked on the back that it came from the USS Vulcan AR-5. This ship was launched in 1940 and decommissioned in 1991. I could not find any info on what year the ship was awarded this plaque but it is signed H. De Bellis 1962. Apparently it would have been awarded sometime during the Vietnam era. Nice shape, has a small white mark on it. Weighs over 40 lbs. Estate find comes as seen in photos. Free shipping to LOWER 48 STATES ONLY.
