A Rare Victorian Hallmarked Sterling Silver Ladies Snuff Box by the Quality Silversmith Nathaniel Mills

The Snuff Box is 3" in length 1" in width and has a height of 1/4" with a weight of 1.1 oz or 32 grams

The Snuff Box has an excellent design having scrolled foliate engraving all over with a vacant cartouche to the lid with a slight lip to both the lid and base to aid opening and a full length hinge to the rear with the hinge still tight and able to hold the lid in the position you choose

The Inside of the snuff box has a bright parcel gilt finish

The Snuff Box is in Excellent  Condition

Town Mark - Anchor - Birmingham

Makers Mark - N.M

Date Letter - R - 1840

The Hallmarks to the Lid are

Duty Mark - Queen Victoria
