History
My friends mother wanted to furnish her house with George Zee furniture from Hong Kong, so she and her husband decided to make a vacation out of it in 1961. They sat down with a representative at House Beautiful in Hong Kong to go over what and how she wanted the furniture. Weather she had them alter a collection or if she created her own blue print, she knew exactly what she wanted. This woman did her homework, and ordered each piece of furniture to work perfectly to the room it was going in. She may have changed the dimensions for a perfect fit and/or added drawers & doors to accommodate each piece to work for what she wanted to uses it for. Then she customized the finishing details on the sets to fit the style and impression she was going for. Most of her house was furnished with George Zee furniture and a lot of it is one of a kind. These pieces are coming from the original owner and there is proof of purchase for most of the furniture.

I am listing a lot of George Zee furniture that has been well wrapped from the move to storage, it is heavy well made furniture that is hard to move around. I moved them just enough to be able to pull off the bubble wrap and shoot some pictures. These were wrapped and packed without a good cleaning and have been stored for a while. Everything needs some love with a good cleaning and oiling.

Design
She had them make this dresser with 6 drawers & cabinet doors to cover them. She also chose the finishing brass hardware for the final touch.
