Important note for over burning background issues with Spirit Paper

With the new formulation of Classis Spirit using a highly sensitive wax transfer layer, Teflon Carriers will not not reduce the over burning issues.
- Over burning is where the background of the paper burns along with the design area.

If you are receiving over burning on your Thermal-Copier, the all new HiRes Carrier for Classic Spirit is the carrier to use. Remember, if your Spirit Paper has been subjected to heat (over 38c) or humidity then it may have already gone off and needs replacement, as over burning (damaged Spirit Paper) can not be removed by use of a different carrier.

 

Problems with homemade carriers

Patchy results, faint edges, graining, blurring, jamms and melting . . .there's a long list of problems we hear all the time.

It's not the light tattoo copiers use to make a spirit stencil - it's a high frequency IR reacting with the carbon in the design, so if your plastic absorbs the IR wavelengths you get poor results.

Pictured right is a home made carrier taped together with faint edges - caused by the plastic absorbing the IR, the further from the middle the fainter the IR and it's not evenly absorbed.

Teflon Carriers are tested

The high grade FEP100 Teflon allows the IR to pass through onto your spirit paper, time and time again, giving years of use from a single carrier.

Solid designs, fine lines and consistent copies is what your after and what a NEHOC Teflon Carrier will provide.

Don't piece together 2 pieces of plastic at home, it may be cheaper, but that's not how thermal-copiers work and you will receive poor quality results and waste both your artwork and the spirit paper.

Worse still, you may stick/ jam the carrier onto the glass roller with tape that isn't heat resistant (and melts) causing serious damage to the machine.

Teflon carriers use high temperature rated Kapton Tape that will not melt, even if the carrier gets stuck.
