Canon CP 220 Compact Photo Printer Set
Print your own professional-quality photos without a computer. The Canon Compact Photo Printer prints high quality photos in a variety of sizes directly from your compatible digital camera. It prints 4x6 photos (postcard size) in up to 85 seconds, 4x8 photos (wide size) in up to 106 seconds, and credit-card size and 8 mini labels in up to 40 seconds. To print directly from camera to printer, you must have a select Canon or PictBridge supported digital camera. Printer also features up to 300x300 dpi reproduction, 256 color gradations, PC and Mac compatibility and dye-sublimation thermal transfer (with overcoating). Imported.

Connects directly to supporting Canon Cameras. Allows easy printing from any Canon camera that supports direct printing with the CP 220.
Unlike ink jet printers, where you can buy the paper from many suppliers and obtain 3rd party inks, the CP-220 and CP-330 require paper/ink packs sold by Canon. Each pack contains both the paper and the dye-sub ink cassette to print on them. The standard 4x6 pack is the KP-36IP and it will print exactly 36 prints at a cost of around $18, making the cost of each print $0.50.
The prints have a sealing layer over them which makes them waterproof and impervious to fingerprints. This is obviously a great advantage if you actually want to mail them as postcards!
The printers are quite small (6.7" x 4.7" x 2.2" ), so they'll actually fit into a camera bag, and they're no heavier than a typical SLR (around 30oz).
